Mike Bright

President, Bright Advisory Group

Mike has lived and worked in South Carolina since 1977 and began his career in insurance in 1986. Over the past 35+ years, he has helped clients with retirement planning, life insurance, and employee benefit solutions, always focusing on making complex choices easier to understand. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Appalachian State University, where he was a four-year letterman in golf, and has continued his professional education with designations including the Life Insurance Planning Designation, the Federal Retirement Consultant Designation, and certification through the American Network of Financial Education (ANOFE).

At Bright Advisory Group, Mike embodies the firm’s philosophy of “Simple Guidance. Stronger Futures.” His experience and dedication give clients the confidence to safeguard their financial future and protect what matters most.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Jill, their sons Connor and Justin, daughter-in-law Kimberly, grandson Wyndham, and their golden doodle, Maggie. He also still loves to play golf and fish whenever time allows.

Connor was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and began his career in sports marketing at PGA Tour Headquarters before spending nearly a decade in the orthopedic and medical device industry. With a strong background in business and client service, he later transitioned into the insurance and financial planning field he grew up around, specializing in retirement planning, life insurance, and employee benefit management for individuals and businesses across the Southeast. He earned his B.S. in Business Management from the University of South Carolina, where he was a four-year baseball letterman and part of the 2012 College World Series national runner-up team. Connor has also earned the Federal Retirement Consultant Designation from the Federation of Federal Employee Benefit Advocates and is certified through the American Network of Financial Education (ANOFE).

At Bright Advisory Group, Connor takes pride in simplifying complex financial decisions and helping clients safeguard their retirement while strengthening their businesses—a reflection of Simple Guidance. Stronger Futures.

Outside of work, Connor enjoys traveling with his wife, Kimberly, and their son, Wyndham, as well as spending time with family, friends, and their golden doodle, Griffey. He also enjoys golf, boating, and making the most of the Charleston lifestyle.
